How to get there

Sponars Chalet is a really convenient place to stay. There is ample parking, unlike Smiggins where there is limited parking and Perisher where there is no free overnight parking. Particularly at week ends, drive straight to the Lodge, unpack and that is it - no oversnow or skitube.

. Allow 5 - 6 hours driving from Sydney 2 and a half from Canberra and half an hour from Jindabyne.

We have a courtesy bus which will be running daily to take you up to the mountain, during peak and shoulder seasons.  It runs three times in the morning from around 8am to 9.30am, depending on the number of people and snow conditions. It also comes back from Perisher in the afternoon three times from 4pm to around 5.30pm.

We don't operate the courtesy bus during 'No Frills' -  We will offer one trip up and one trip back in the Troop carrier at a cost of $10 per person for the return ride. So if you arrive by public transport you will be able to get up to Perisher, Smiggin Holes and the Skitube each day
