Sponars Chalet Easter Adventure 10th-13th April 3 Nights
Experience the beauty of nature and reach the summit of Kosciuszko at night under the full moon. The easter program at Sponars is full of adventure for all ages.
Sponars Chalet is a historical building right in the centre of Kosciuszko National Park. We have rooms for 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 people.
To visit Sponars Chalet you drive up Kosciuszko Road we are 25 kms from Jindabyne. There is a car park right at the door where you can leave your car overnight.
Easter activities include;
- Full Moon Ebike Ride to Summit Mount Kosciuszko.
- Yoga with Annette Grant
- Standup Paddle Board Yoga Demo.
- Perisher Fun Run about 8 kms run or walk, go fast or slow but definitely have a laugh along the way.
- Famous Perisher Duck race
- Visit to Wild Brumby Distillery.
- Cycle the Thredbo Valley Track
- Chocolate Easter Egg Hunt
- Walk to Porcupine
- Lake Light Sculpture Jindabyne viewing.
- Swimming in indoor heated pool or a dip in an alpine spring if you dare.

E Bike Kosciuszko at Night
We partner with Sacred Ride to present a night of fun and adventure. We start in the Sponars Car Park and board the bus to Charlottes Pass, At Charlottes Pass we get on our ebikes and ride 10kms by Moonlight to the summit. Enjoy a shot of Schnapps and chocolate on the summit before the exhilarating descent back to Charlottes Pass. We then travel back to Sponars Chalet for an authentic Swiss Cheese Fondue. Cost $195 pp includes ebike hire and fondue.
There are options to use your own bike or just come for the cheese fondue, Give us a ring to organise.

Easter Saturday 11 th April
8 AM Breakfast in the Sponars Dining Room Museum
9 AM Join the Sponars Team in the 'highest (altitude) fun run in Australia' . As part of the Back to Perisher Weekend, the fun run starts in the Perisher Car Park and goes to the Blue Cow Summit Chair base and back.
11AM After a hot run it's time to cool off with a dip in an Alpine Creek if you dare. We will take a walk and a dip before lunch.
4 PM The Great Perisher Duck Race is ALL about having fun. We join the Back to Perisher celebrations again at the Perisher Creak. The race involves coloured and numbered plastic ducks being cast adrift under one bridge over the Perisher Creek and moving in the water propelled by the current through the rocks and reeds to a finish line at the next bridge.
6PM Get ready to ebike up Kosciusko at Night. For anyone who is not up to this adventure there is the option to join us for dinner of Cheese Fondue
Easter Sunday 12th April
8AM Breakfast in the Sponars Dining Room Museum.
9AM Easter Egg Hunt
10AM Yoga with Annette Grant
11AM Watch or try the first ever Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga Demo on Digger Creek.
2PM Bring your bike and board up for Mountain Biking the Thredbo Valley Track. This impressive shared-use trail takes riders down the picturesque Thredbo Valley and includes some amazing suspension bridges.
4PM Schnapps and Gin Tasting at Wild Brumby Distillery and Cafe.
Easter Monday 13th April Easter
8AM Breakfast in the Sponars Dining Room Museum
9AM Porcupine walk is a short, family-friendly walking track at Perisher in Kosciusko National Park. Spot wildflowers as you climb to Porcupine Rocks for breathtaking views of the Thredbo Valley and Main Range.
12PM Depart for Sydney
*may change due to weather and other circumstances
4 Day/ 3 night program including E bike Night Ride is $645 per person twin share.
Children policy: Children less than 5 years old no charge. Children 5-12 years old $75 per night. All kids must be booked in by ringing Sponars Chalet directly.
